Sprink’s Sustainability Development project was incepted in August 2009, driven by actions developed at the Macaé business unit through the provision of services with Petrobras and through the partnership of the São Paulo branch with Grupo Santander Brasil in initiatives in this area.

In January 2010, Sprink communicated its commitment with the policy of sustainable development formally to the market. The flagstone was Sprink's diary, made completely out of recycled material, under the slogan "Recycle your ideas and make use of Sprink's diary. The environment thanks you!"
In the same month, the whole press announced this year officially as Year Zero of Sustainability on Planet Earth. Once again, and through the coincidence of dates, the pioneering of Sprink was ratified.

Being economically feasible, environmentally correct and socially fair are part of the day-to-day life at Sprink in activities like: separating garbage, discarding of batteries in appropriate places, reducing printing, reusing the other side of printed material as jotting paper, using paper from reforestation wood, reusing the water used in the hose tests; using recycled paper in daily printing, using individual squeeze drinking bottles to replace plastic cups; refilling print cartridges; purchasing LCD monitors and giving clients access to reports through a password on Sprink's site, avoiding the use of paper.

Sprink's concern with sustainability is also present in the didactics of selecting new collaborators, mainly for the role of civil professional firefighter, as well as in the choice of training camps where its exercises of selection and retraining of professionals will be promoted, ensuring they are adequately licensed and are practicing the principles of sustainability; ensuring and encouraging projects of fire safety elaborated for sustainably-based operations.

These are some of the initiatives of Sprink to minimize losses and avoid any waste. In addition, the awareness of environmental preservation is promoted through courses, lectures, dialog and various publications, at all levels: shareholders, councilors, board members, managers, coordinators and other employees.
Today, Sprink's Sustainability Program is one of the main goals of the company. Sprink: pioneer and leader in the sector of fire fighting and prevention, also caring about environmental preservation, lives and property.
