BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY
Sprink’s vision of sustainability is based on three pillars: economic feasibility – environmental correctness – social fairness, in other words: results in business, environmental preservation and protection, and social responsibility.
The reason for this, among others, is because we understand that the whole organization is part of a community, and is maintained and composed by it. And the capacity to relate, not isolate, determines the capacity of responding to the situation in which it operates (responsibility = response-ability).
We have been through crises: ethical, of values, references; climatic crises, of information and financial crisis. And what can we learn from them? In fact, what are the differences and similarities between the sustainability of the planet and the organizations of Civil Society? How does each organism (individual and institution) position itself in relation to the sustainability of its causes which, in essence, is related to the sustainability of the world and its live organisms?
This moment of uncertainty, in which the process of development of humanity is eye-opening and where the concept of sustainability gains even more strength, requires much more attention than the three R’s – reduce, reuse and recycle. MATURITY is required!
Therefore, maturity and complexity walk hand in hand. The deeper the issues, the deeper the contradictions. And the world of today reflects these dynamics, with its positive and somber aspects. Maturing is a path for the expansion of conscience, of learning and unlearning, of holding on and letting go, of being resistant and vulnerable, and of controlling and respecting, at the same time.
We perceive daily that people and organizations are seeking sustainability, but without understanding the amplitude of its meaning. This movement, full of subtlety and contradictions that are hardly perceived, also seems to contain possibilities of evolution. What should we do: accept or reject them? Block or encourage them? There will always be mature and immature aspects in a social entity.
It is with the maturity of three decades of operation that Sprink is ready for the challenges and questions, offering the best solutions in fire fighting, fire brigade, civil firefighters and risk prevention, contributing towards sustainable development, conscious and constantly.
